Game Notes:

Another day, another Blue Jays loss.

The Jays completed their visting series in Arlington as Texas took this game 6-4, winning three of four games in the series.

Texas outfielder Nelson Cruz went 3-4, with a home run and two runs batted in.

Rookie shortstop sensation Elvis Andrus also homered in this game for Texas.

Prized Texas outfielder Josh Hamilton left the game with back spasms that have been bothering him for more than a week.

This comes less than twenty four hours after Texas lost starting third baseman Michael Young for at least two to three weeks because of a strained left hamstring.

Blue Jays News:

A lineup shuffle is coming soon according to Toronto manager Cito Gaston.

Gaston wants to see a more versatile, hit and run type of hitter batting second in his lineup.

Gaston plans on moving Aaron Hill to the number three spot in the batting order, shifting Adam Lind down to the clean up spot.

Rookie starter Brett Cecil will receive one more start than Toronto had planned, as Cecil will pitch the September 11th game against the Detroit Tigers in Detroit at Comerica Park.

Other Baseball News:

Florida Marlins second baseman Dan Uggla and shortstop Hanley Ramirez got into an altercation in the team clubhouse on Wednesday as Uggla attacked Ramirez's desire to play hard and win.

After Ramirez was pulled from an important 4-3 loss to the Atlanta Braves with a supposedly tight hamstring, Ramirez had the following to say to the media:

"You don't get the same respect from teammates when you're not playing,"

"I got people upset when I got out of the game last night. I try to do the best I can. Whatever."

After Ramirez repeated similar comments to different media Uggla followed with the statement "I was one of them."

Uggla and Ramirez exchanged words during which Uggla said:

"Yeah, you got your $70 million" while asking Ramirez why he had to come out of the game.

The South Florida Sun-Sentinel has the altercation on tape and reported the information.

Both Scott Kazmir and Brad Penny debuted in new uniforms last night. Kazmir in Angels red, Penny in Giants black and orange.

The change of scenario proved to be a success as both pitchers were outstanding in their debuts for their new ball clubs.

Kazmir pitched six and a third, allowing two runs, one earned, on three hits, walking one and striking out eight in a 3-0 loss to the Seattle Mariners.

Penny was even more effective in eight innings of shutout ball over the defending World Series champion Philadelphia Phillies.

Penny pitched eight innings, allowing no runs, on five hits, walking one and striking out two in a 4-0 Giants win.
