Cleveland Indians 2 (W 37-57)
Toronto Blue Jays 1 (L 46-48)

Game Notes:

The Cleveland Indians rallied in the ninth inning off of Blue Jays closer Scott Downs to score two runs and win Tuesday's game over the Toronto Blue Jays.

First baseman Lyle Overbay made a costly throwing error in the top of the ninth inning.

Grady Sizemore bunted to first. Lyle Overbay's throw to second sailed into the outfield, putting runners at second and third.

Victor Martinez followed that with a two-run double in the ninth to take the lead and eventual win.

Cliff Lee pitched his second consecutive complete game.

Toronto Blue Jays starting pitcher Brett Cecil pitched well, but came out with a no decision. His final pitching line: 7IP, 7H, 0R, 0ER, 4BB, 9K

Scott Rolen, 2-4, 1HR, 1RBI
Aaron Hill, 2-4, 1 double

Victor Martinez, 2-3, 2RBI, 1 double, 1 walk

Blue Jays News:

Vernon Wells started for the Blue Jays in centre field. Wells had missed the previous three games recovering from a stomach virus.
