Game Notes:

The Blue Jays offense came alive with five home runs in the game from four different players. Lead off hitter Marco Scutaro lead the home run attack with two home runs, his first career multi home run game. Vernon Wells, Aaron Hill and Alex Rios also had home run shots.

Left fielder David Dellucci returned to the Blue Jays lineup, starting for the Jays in left field.

Other Baseball News:

The Boston Red Sox added yet another big bat to their explosive offense yesterday, acquiring first baseman Adam LaRoche from the Pittsburgh Pirates for prospects.

The prospects traded were Double A shortstop Argeniz Diaz and Class A right hander Hunter Strickland.

This is the second year in a row that the Red Sox have acquired a big bat from Pittsburgh, last season it was Jason Bay in the three team Manny Ramirez deal.

Adam LaRoche's 2009 numbers are: .247AVG, 12HR, 40RBI in 324AB.

The Red Sox did not stop there. Boston actually found someone to take Julio Lugo off of their hands. Lugo and cash considerations were traded to the St.Louis Cardinals yesterday for outfielder Chris Duncan, and a player to be named later or additional money.

Julio Lugo's 2009 numbers are: .284AVG, 1HR, 8RBI in 109AB

Chris Duncan's 2009 numbers are: .227AVG, 5HR, 32RBI in 260AB
